There are many legitimate concerns with any large project. That being said we all need to remember we live in a sea side desert. Nobody is moving away in droves so we need to remember that we need a local water source, it is a matter of security and public safety. All it takes is one strong quake or other natural disaster (not to mention man-made ones) and we could get really thirsty really fast. If the pipe or pump system from LA Water district or Colorado RIver were to fail we'd be screwed. All the water bottles at CostCo wouldn't last a couple days. Think
