Dams Help Delta Flow Jul 31, 2010
Actually during the summer and fall water flows through the delta are much greater than they would be under purely natural conditions. Why? Because of the foresight and commitment of prior generations who built highly beneficial dams upstream. The water diversions are a small fraction of the water that we store behind dams in the winter and spring and then release in the summer and fall.
What we have as the subject of this editorial is just another biased "study" from the SWRCB.
